I miss being able to ride my bike.

So I'm gonna post pictures of it.

The Pedal-Powered Lawnmower

Last Spring, Kills Winsley and I designed this adapter for reel mowers, allowing them to be towed behind a bike.
Today, I saw this on failblog via cyclingWMD:
I think ours is way cooler, seeing as you can actually turn.

chavyboys of london

I don't want this thing to become a music blog, least of all an electronic music blog, but this club mix is far too hot to ignore. It's got all the frenetic energy of eighties hardcore, but with house beats. The last track is by far the best:

"Everybody in the club, if you hate someone right now, you need to turn to them and punch them in the fucking face!"

hipster nascar is so ON

Simon of Hipster Nascar on that Traktion(?) video

"Yes, it’s problematic. But does it mean that a group or an identity or a scene are hopelessly corrupted? Rubbish. The fixed-gear “scene,” to the extent that there even is one coherent scene, is born of capitalism. It’s inherently bound up in the relations of production that has cheap frames made from from Indian steel by migrant workers in Taiwanese factories shipped across the Pacific on Nigerian registered freighters crewed by Indonesian sailors, unloaded by Polish dockers in the United States and bought by kids in SoCal from the "local” bike shop that is financed by a small business loan from a Swiss bank. It’s a totality. We exist within it, and to some degree it shapes (though it doesn’t define) our habitus, our opportunities for action."

Awww yeahhh...

freak bikes

I love freak bikes, but when I'm not at school I don't have access to a welder. This is why this bad boy is so much fun. I don't have a picture of the latest incarnation of it, but imagine it with a much longer seat post, and a tube running from the seat clamp to the head tube.

Once the snow melts and the ground dries I'm gonna take it down the nearest mountain.

what's good?

Hey y'all, sorry for the lengthy absence. I'm back at school and projects are taking up all of my time, but they're damn cool so I'm alright with that. My baby at the moment is a pedal-powered lathe, but I'm also working on a sonar cane for a blind person that's the size of a AA Maglite. More on those soon.

Here is a movie trailer that you will probably enjoy:

out of office

Happy new year, y'all.

I would have updated sooner, but things is hectic around the holidays. Speaking of hectic, I'm going to be in Ashland, Oregon at the United Bicycle Institute starting on the 3rd, and I don't know what my internet access will be like. I fly out of Cincy at like six in the morning, which means I have to leave here at three. It's gonna be a long day.
